Returners & Intermediate Pattern Cutting Workshops
A series of one-off workshops/drop in sessions to support you with your on-going projects. Suitable for returners of the Beginners Pattern Cutting courses or those with previous experience of making block patterns and have some experience of adapting them. During these sessions you can produce either block patterns and/or adapt blocks or existing patterns using increasingly ambitious processes and techniques.
Please let me know your prior experience when booking your place. The emphasis of these workshops is on pattern production and may include some sewing of calico toiles. If you want to cut and sew finished garments please see the section for sewing here.

Returners / Intermediate Pattern Cutting Course
This course is aimed at students who have completed the beginners pattern cutting courses or those who have some experience of making a block and adapting it.
Using your own block patterns, you will transform them through creative pattern manipulation, before drafting and and producing finished patterns, including as required; waistbands, collars, pockets facings and linings. You can produce block patterns during the course or bring your own ready to use.
You will experiment half and full scale with techniques to explore your ideas and produce final full scale patterns. Sample pieces can be made as required and you will construct a toile/ mock up of your pattern to check the pattern accuracy, construction techniques and fit. Although sewing will be utilised during the classes the emphasis of this course is on pattern cutting - If you would like help with sewing or making up a finished garment from an existing pattern you can read about the sewing classes here.
All equipment, tools and materials (including calico and haberdashery) are provided.
