Beginners Sewing course - The Cushion
Design and make your own cushion cover during this beginners sewing course. You will learn how to set up and use a sewing machine, produce various practical seam types and insert a zip before making your own cushion cover. You will learn how to make a simple yet accurate pattern for your ideas, how to add seam lines and seam allowances to pattern pieces, cut out fabric correctly and sew a well made item. By the end of the course you’ll have a cushion to take away to proudly display on your sofa at home and your own personal pattern so you can make more cushion covers in the future.
This course is perfect for complete beginners. In addition to a full introduction to sewing machine set up and use, you will learn a range of skills that you can use in your future sewing projects including clothing. You can see some of the cushions past students have made on the course here
