Beginners Sewing course - The Cushion
This short sewing course is perfect for complete beginners. In addition to a introduction to sewing machine set up and use, you will learn a range of skills that you can use in your future sewing projects, including how to use notches on angled seam lines, facings, understitching, rouleau loops and seam finishes, You can see some of the cushions past students have made on the course here
By the end of the course you will have your own copy of the pattern you have used and your finished cushion to take away and proudly display on your sofa at home. The skills you learn are used in both soft furnishings such as cushions and broadly used in garment construction.
All tools, equipment including fully serviced sewing machines, cushion inserts, pattern paper, fabrics and haberdashery are provided.
